Pontchartrain Alumnae Chapter has 28 Active Members and 16 Distinguished Members.

CHAPTER HISTORY

Installation of Pontchartrain Alumnae Chapter was held on April 1, 1967 as part of the State Day ceremonies at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  During its forty years of existence, Pontchartrain Alumnae Chapter has always been an active and productive chapter.  Support has been given each year to SAI Philanthropies, Inc., to national and state music projects, to local music education programs, and to area performing groups.  Pontchartrain members perform in monthly musicales and frequent recitals.  Many members are affiliated with and perform with other musical organizations.

 

CHAPTER INFORMATION

Our chapter has a wide age range of members from their twenties through eighties.  Our monthly meetings consist of a social hour, a musicale, and a business meeting. 

 

Pontchartrain is proud to have received both regional, national, and province awards.  We are involved in and continue to look for service projects that help promote music, such as mini performances in hospitals and senior homes.
